A man suspected of shooting his ex-wife as she arrived to work at Tompkins High School in Cinco Ranch is dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
That man was thought to be holding off police at a house in Brookshire. The SWAT team went in just a short time ago.
The employee was shot and killed early this morning in the parking lot of the school.
“There is no danger to the students and classes are in session,” Katy ISD spokesman Steve Stanford said.
An email was sent out but the system only allows them to be sent after 10 am. That was fixed and a second email was sent to parents.
The employee was shot just before 6 a.m. this morning and later died at the hospital. The suspect is believed to be holed up at his home in Brookshire.
