Former Halliburton Manager Pleads Guilty To Destroying Evidence

A former Halliburton manager pleaded guilty Tuesday to destroying evidence after the deadly rig explosion caused BP’s massive oil spill in the Gulf in 2010.

62-year-old Anthony Badalamenti of Katy faces a maximum sentence of a year in prison and a 100-thousand-dollar fine. Sentencing is set for January 21.

Prosecutors say he told two employees to delete data during a review of the cement job on the blown-out well.
