(HOUSTON) — A Houston police officer accused of shooting a double amputee last year has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
During his monthly press conference, Houston Police Charles McClelland was found officer Matthew Marin, was justified in shooting and killing Brian Claunch last September.
McClelland called the shooting a tragic incident:
McClelland said a review of the case from HPD Internal Affairs and Homicide found Marin did not violate any department policies or procedures.
The case was also reviewed by the Harris County District Attorney’s office and the FBI.
