(HOUSTON, TX)– We now have a better idea of why voters rejected the proposition to renovate the dome on election night. University of Houston political science professor Brandon Rottinghaus says an analysis of voting patterns showed people in the suburbs were not willing to pay extra to save the dome.
He says most of the support for the dome came from neighborhoods inside the city, inside the loop. But it was not enough. So it appears the dome is likely to be demolished.
