Give the Houston Zoo the “Gift of Grub”

And you think YOUR food budget’s big!  The Houston Zoo says it will cost $935,000 to feed all of its 6,000 animals in 2014.  The Zoo’s annual holiday fundraising campaign — The Gift of Grub — is now underway, so you can help feed the animals at the zoo — all with very different dietary needs!  That includes 12 million crickets, 40,000 pounds of meat, 80,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables and over 14,000 bales of hay each year.  Also, your donation will be doubled, up to $50,000, thanks to a matching gift by TXU Energy.
