Speaker Boehner says he still working on how best to advance immigration reform in the house “is immigration reform dead?  Absolutely not.”

Houston Congressman Gene Green says if the House Speaker doesn’t address immigration now, its only going to get more difficult because next year is an election year for members of congress.

Green says up for re-election is “the whole House and a third of the Senate.  So it is harder in election years to take tough votes.  But if we don’t vote on it this year I am going to keep supporting having an opportunity to vote on it next year.”

Vice President Joe Biden visited a tent on the national mall Friday to show support for immigration activists on the 11th day of a hunger strike.

They also want the House to vote on the immigration overhaul already passed by Senate.
