Friday is the last day for early voting in the March fourth primary. There are 12-Republicans candidates running for Congressional District 36.
One of them is the former Mayor of Pasadena.
There are a dozen Republican candidates for the Congressional seat Steve Stockman is vacating because he is running for the Senate.
Among them is former Pasadena Mayor John Manlove. He says “I am one of the only candidates in this race that actually has real life experience.”
Manlove says he has already demonstrated the conservative values Republicans want in Washington “I have a proven track record. While I was mayor, I balanced the budget in the City of Pasadena. produced a surplus of 2.3-million, reduced crime.”
Manlove says Washington needs a new breed of leadership “the kind of leader who is willing to solve the kinds of problems that we can’t run away from and plan for the future at the same time. and I believe I am that man with my experience.”
With 12-Republicans running for this office, a run-off is expected in the Republican primary. There is only one Democratic candidate for the 36th Congressional District that includes the Johnson Space Center.
The March 4th Primary is next Tuesday.
