(HOUSTON, TX) — A black couple was strip searched in a southeast Houston beauty supply store, suspected of shoplifting a $3 pair of earrings, and now a community activist is saying the search was racist.

Deadra Pattum and her fiancé John Marsden insisted to KHOU 11 that they did nothing wrong

A security guard was brought in. After watching the surveillance tape, police and the security guard agreed that they did not steal anything from Y Beauty Supply.

Community activist Quanell X says this is a blatant case of racial profiling.
