(ROSENBERG, TX) – A traffic stop led police to more than $1 million worth of cocaine.
According to Rosenberg Police, the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force was working along U.S. 59 at FM 2218 July 1 when it stopped a tractor-trailer for a traffic violation.
Investigators said during the roadside investigation, a detective and his K-9 partner, “RIK”, uncovered 48 bundles of cocaine hidden in two suit cases in the truck’s trailer.
According to investigators, the cocaine weighed approximately 115 pounds and had a street value of $1,464,400.
The investigation is ongoing and police said charges in the case are pending.
