Man Uses Phony Bomb In Bank Robbery

Matt Sampsell — A man claiming to have a bomb robbed a Chase bank off FM 1960 near Deerbrook Mall Thursday morning. A bomb squad removed the package that turned out to be a phony. The suspect took off with an undisclosed amount of money. Eyewitnesses say he fled on foot. Humble police and the FBI are investigating.

This is the second bank robbery in two weeks in the area. A Citibank as robbed on FM 1960 and Townsend before Christmas.
