28-year old Army Specialist and Texas Southern University graduate Brandy Fonteneaux was found dead in her Fort Carson barracks Sunday morning in Colorado.
Remembered as a “kind-hearted” person and someone who was loving and giving, Fonteneaux’s friends and family members are calling the vague circumstances surrounding her death “unacceptable.”
With minimal details being released by the Army, officials say that her death is being investigated as a homicide.
Brandy Gilford, another TSU gradute, spoke with Fonteneaux the day before her death and spent time with her during the holiday season.
Brandy Fonteneaux held the rank of specialist and had been in the Army two years. She was a food service specialist in the 4th Engineer Battalion.
